Ownership of Your Cask(s)

Delivery Order

After the settlement and completion of AML checks, Dolium Holdings transfers the rum cask(s) to the client’s private bonded warehouse account using a Delivery Order (DO), unless a minimum maturation clause (MMC) from the distillery applies. The client must have an account set up with an HMRC-approved excise warehouse. From the date of the DO, the client is responsible for all storage, insurance, account setup fees, and cask management costs.

Stored Under WOWGR

The rum cask(s) are stored under Dolium Holdings’ WOWGR license at one of our 25 HMRC-approved warehouses across Scotland, where we act as the custodian. Clients receive an invoice detailing the cask’s unique data, including distillery information, cask number, ABV, and storage location. Once the invoice is settled and AML checks are complete, clients receive a paid invoice receipt and a certificate of ownership. The casks are not on our balance sheet, ensuring legal ownership for clients, even in the event of our liquidation.
