Ross William Butler
Ross William Butler is the founder of Butlers Gin.
Initially, Ross William Butler anticipated that his London-based business would primarily grow within the UK. However, after exploring UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) services through their LinkedIn group and subsequently visiting their website, he discovered new export opportunities.
Engaging with UKTI’s Business Opportunities transformed his company’s trajectory, leading to international expansion. His first export sale was to Belgium, and Butler’s Gin has since achieved £170,000 in overseas sales through distributors connected via UKTI, with an additional £750,000 in sales projected for the coming financial year.

Butlers Gin
Ross William Butler, known as ‘The Butler,’ is a designer, brand developer, and lifelong gin enthusiast. Inspired by a Victorian recipe, his gin is infused in a 20-litre glass jar with bags of fresh lemongrass, cardamom, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, fennel, lemon, and lime. After 18 hours of infusion, each batch is hand-bottled and personally signed by ‘The Butler.’
Dolium
The idea for Dolium (Trading as RWB Drinks Ltd) was first conceived by owner Ross William Butler in the spring of 2016. Driven by a fascination with the rich history and complexity of this remarkable spirit, Ross delved deep into its world.
With a career in Design, brand developing and Gin specialist, Ross identified a significant gap in the rum market’s flavor offerings. This discovery shifted his focus from a passionate mixologist and experimentalist to researching the business and manufacturing aspects of this extraordinary spirit.
Ross’ commitment to crafting premium rum is central to everything at Dolium. From hand-building his own still to sourcing the finest New Forest Spring Waters and selecting the core ingredients himself, Ross ensures he is proud to put his name on every bottle produced at all the boutique distilleries.
Ross is personally involved in the creation of every bottle and flavor, striving to make each one better than the last. The growing and diverse range of Dolium offerings reflects his dedication.
